What is NLP?
According to the American Board of NLP: “Neuro-linguistic programming is a model of communication that focuses on identifying and using patterns of thought that influence a person’s behaviors as a means of improving the quality and effectiveness of their lives.”
In other words, NLP describes the fundamental dynamics of how the brain (neuro) works, how language (linguistic) interacts with the brain, and how this interaction affects our body and behavior (programming).
NLP is a unique blend of cognitive and behavioral sciences.
How does it work?
NLP is a multi-dimensional process that involves the development of behavioral flexibility and competence.
It also involves strategic thinking and an understanding of the mental and cognitive processes behind one’s behaviors.
